Nick Paris

Nick is a social worker with various other qualifications, having had 35 years experience working with children, adults and families in a variety of contexts.

Nick has been a frontline child protection officer with the Department of Family and Community Services, a Manager of DOCS staff, a Regional Director with the Department of Juvenile Justice and for the last 16 years he has been in private practice, primarily conducting assessments for the Family Court and Children’s Court of NSW.

Alex Davis
Solicitor and Project Officer at the Domestic Violence Unit of Legal Aid NSW

 Alex has extensive practical experience advising and assisting clients who have experienced technology-facilitated domestic violence.

Alex has also contributed to multiple law reform efforts surrounding technology-facilitated violence including giving evidence at Parliamentary Inquiries and contributing to the Technology Working Group for the COAG Advisory Panel.

While working as a Solicitor at Women’s Legal Services NSW, Alex was involved in the ReCharge: Women’s Technology Project, developing a range of national legal guides on technology-facilitated violence.

Alex recently developed and rolled out mandatory domestic and family violence training to over 950 frontline staff across Legal Aid NSW. She is currently developing a National website and writing a publication on the family law, family violence and child protection systems across Australia.
